In a land full of calendars, busy and bright,
worked Vela the V, from the morn to the night.
But Vela, dear Vela, had one funny way:
she'd sit and she'd wait to be asked, every day.
You'd poke her, you'd ping her, you'd shout out her name,
and only then, only then, would she play the whole game.
"A fine little V," the wise ones agreed,
"should FIND all the trouble before there's a need!"
So now our friend Vela finds far, finds wide,
the bumps in the days and the tangles inside.
A big meeting looming with no time to prep!
Two folks in one slot! Oh, watch where you step!
She finds all this trouble in two nimble ways:
the tick of the clock as it counts down the days,
and the flip of a change, like "I'm out! I'm away!"
She sees what's ahead, and she sees it today.
And once she has found it, she picks one of three:
she'll tell you, or fix it, or learn-it-to-be.
A "psst, you should know!" when it's yours to repair,
a tidy, a nudge, or just learning to care.
But the rule she holds dearest, the heart of it all:
do not be a pest! Do not bug folks at all!
A hundred small maybes will drive a soul mad.
Three good finds are better than twenty that's bad.
Now Vela helps people who hire and recruit,
where one little slip can cost deals, to boot.
The schedules are tangled, the stakes are all there,
so Vela finds trouble with watchful-eyed care.
She finds a lost candidate, gone for a week!
The role's going cold and the outlook is bleak.
So Vela leans in with a gentle "still there?"
and chases them down so the hire goes somewhere.
She finds that tomorrow's big panel's askew,
one interviewer dropped, and the loop's short a crew.
The team has no clue there's a hole in the loop,
so Vela speaks up, and she saves the whole group.
She finds an email that's bounced a whole week,
"How's Tuesday?" "Oh no, Tuesday's looking too bleak."
So Vela jumps in with a time that just fits,
and books the whole thing before anyone quits.
She finds that the final was set, but oh no,
the boss who decides? They've not been told so!
So Vela pipes up, "shall we add them as well?"
A catch, just in time, like a clang of a bell.
From a V that just waits to a V that just sees,
that finds the dropped balls with the greatest of ease,
that's Vela who watches, both clever and kind.
The trouble she's finding? You won't even mind.
